Air Conditioners and Humidity

This past month we've had high temperatures coupled with high humidity across the south east of Queensland. Coupled with a 3 day hard lock down and 10 days of higher level restrictions a lot of us have spent more time at home.

If you've been running your split system during this time, as I have, you may have notice your indoor unit of your air-conditioner dripping water onto the floor, your furniture, or even you!

This is caused by excess condensation building up on your unit's cooling fins.

To remedy this simply pick a time when your not using the air-conditioner, press mode until it's on fan only, and let it run for about 2hrs to dry it out.

Doing this on a regular basis and having annual servicing will not only help your unit run more efficiently it will also help lengthen the life of your unit.
